I know this comes up from time to time, but I figured it was better to start a new thread than find one to resurrect.

What apps, freeware, websites, etc. is everyone using to search craigslist these days?

In the past I've really liked tools that would let you do a craigslist search within a certain distance; has anything like that survived the cease and desist letters?

Not effective. I have found several things the old way that SearchTempest didn't find at all.

My wife and I were just talking about this. I used to have the WONDERFUL Ziink app that let me search by distance and set notifications on my phone. If someone posted a new ad that met my search criteria, it would instantly notify me. That app is no longer supported by the creator.

I want one that lets me search by distance and sends me notifications. I currently use the CLapp on my phone but it only lets you search by city.

I still have some Ziink add on working with Safari. Its nice to see pictures before clicking the link, and can get a preview of the description by hovering on the link. Can also search by distance or state.

I have the Ziink CLHelper still on this computer but on Firefox I have it now disabled since it really has become unusable anymore. I suspect too many changes to CL and no further updating from Ziink is the problem. Oh, how I really miss it.

I like SearchTempest for the computer, but mainly because I'm so comfortable with it. It does miss things occasionally.

I use cPro on my phone, which finds everything, but can get a little cluttered.

Both are good, neither is perfect.

I tried a few different apps on the phone, none really did a decent job of searching more than maybe 3 locations. Searchtempest is what I use for larger areas.

CLapp is halfway decent though.
