The best thing about adjustable wrenches are that they are adjustable.

Can you still get beak style crescent wrenches? My favorites are the C-Man Pros, certainly long since discontinued. The lil 6" guy opens up to something absurd like 1.5"
I suspect someone is building up accounts, then selling them to spammers, and Rog, here, is one of the accounts.
I have a knipex at work, it punches way above it's size in the tool world.
I stand by what 4 years ago me said, big pipe wrench when absolutely nothing else will work.
I had to use a 3' pipe wrench to get the spark plug tubes out on a 5SFE in a MK2 MR2. Even then, it was tough. Some DPO, really, really, DPO or his mechanic more likely, put them in with red loctite.

You should get them then!
I used channel locks all my life and for the first 10 years in industrial maintenance, my first pair of knipex were a revelation. No more blisters on your palm when they slip and the channel lock handles pinch you with all the force you were attempting to transfer to the work. No more resetting the width when you drop them.
I really only use the cobras. I still have some alligators but they are relegated to my secondary or travel tool kit.
This is one of the handiest wrenches/pliers I have ever used. It works like pliers but opens an absurd amount so you can really grab onto some unusual objects.

From experience, those are amazing.
I only use the All-32nds wrench when I finally misplace all my 10mm wrenches.
You guys are killing me here. Just when I see "the only name brand I buy is channel lock" and I go to execute on a set, someone else chimes in with "but Knipex are way better" and gets lots of +1s.
Those things are like gold, though! SMH. What's a picky poor boy to do?
A Rolls Royce mechanic recommended Knipex 22" pliers to pull the accumulators on the Bentley. I bought a set. They are awesome. I also used them to hold the water pump pulley when I had to pull the fan blade.
They are damn sure expensive though. That's the only time I've spent $120 on a set of pliers.
zombie thread. I got these for my brother in law for xmas I hear good things and await his review.
