Gimme your recommendations for custom molded in-ear monitors. I have had several sets of Big Ear IEM's, looking for other options. I would like something with a replaceable cord as that seems to be the major failure I have experienced. Looking for a good value, meaning something that sounds good, blocks external noise, and is durable. As stated above, I've found the cord to be the major failure.

I tried a less expensive brand and they were horible, sounded like listening to a 60's era transistor radio so went back to Big Ear. Have you tried sending them back for repair? I have a few sets so I send an old one back when one set seems like it is having issues. My usual failure point is getting them wet. I use an older set to do yardwork sometimes and if I sweat too much it ruins the driver or something. Repairs are usually under $150. I wonder if music stores know where to get them for use as monitors.

Don't have any experience with CIEM's (I have Shure SE215 IEM's and they work well enough for my needs), but here are some well regarded manufacturer's:

Ultimate Ears would probably be my preference due to having a frequency range more comparable to my favorite headphones (on the low end). I only use the Shure SE215's when I have to - they are not things I actually want to put in to listen to music; would much rather use headphones in most situations.
