My daughter, in her 40's, was a stay at home mom, grandmom, and wanted to make some money. With the help of her "boy" friend (he's 52yo) she started a small catering business. But, she had a great idea. Healthy, nutritious meals, delivered to your home or gym. It is growing nicely, they now use a real commercial kitchen instead of their home, and are doing very well. A great idea, well executed. Check out her website- http://www.sportsmealsofmiami.com/
She has about 100 clients now, getting more all the time. Daddy happy!
Cool, congrats to your daughter!

Actually, this is an idea that can work almost anywhere. People are more health conscious, and the convenience of home delivery is hard to beat. The idea of delivery to your gym is a stroke of genious. Daddy will shut up now.
A lady my wife knows does a similar thing. The food is all home cooked and a lot of the veggies come from her garden. My only complaint is there are a lot of cassaroles and she uses cheese in a LOT of dishes. She does this so that she can be a stay at home mom. I think she only does it on Tuesday and you have to call ahead and order.
Brilliant! And the food pix made me hungry. I'm glad it's successful, the idea's so great that it should be.
CONGRATS! Always exciting to hear someone is making it in todays economy. Sounds like a great idea. I am looking at relocating at least for a little while so that SWMBO can attend a culinary school.
It's OK to brag on your kids! (here).
Very cool! I love business success stories.
