Just ruined the upteenth pair of decent jeans on my dirty, icky, greasy 2-5/16" hitch-ball. Forgot it was there and walked up to open the rear door of the van.

I usually leave it off, but need to move the trailer.....(putting the Sprite on trailer in preparation for the vintage event at Summit Pt. next weekend).

Afterwards, I put a plastic bag over it......closing the barn door after the horse is out. Damn!!

Ever smack your shin full force one one after you forgot it was there? Man that hurts.

my friends and I would often put a big road cone over his dads hitch when we would be in the driveway playing basketball...yeah, try going to block a pass only to catch your shin on a hitch at a full sprint!!! hot damn that hurt!!!

I'll trade you a pair of dirty jeans for my burned leg; I forgot the Supertrap sticking out the back of my old CRX and it happened right after a hard, entertaining drive.

New jeans = trip to the store. New skin = not really.

LOL!

I used to have an old dirt bike that had a very well shielded exhaust. I would ride it in shorts almost all of the time. After laying it down one day it was necessary to remove the shielding and covers from the cycle... Mofo is not quite smart enough to replace the bare leg with a covered one... after about four minutes of riding I was able to tell you the bike was running very rich by counting the hairs still attached to the pipe that hadn't actually burned.

Yup. My cherokee didn't have a removable hitch. I was getting my brothers wedding present out of the back and WHAM! I'm glad the tux shop starched the crap outta the pants or I would have a scar.

Get one of those cheap little hitch ball covers at Pep Boys, or use the old standard - a tennis ball with a slit cut in the side.

And yes, I've rammed my shin into a trailer hitch more than once...

LOL! I have a nasty keloid scar on my left arm from the exhaust on my old KDX.

And three stitches on the back of my neck.........from the shifter on Suzuki trail bike (yes...wearing a helmet).

Back in the day at full flight chasing a bad guy, ran between two vehicles that were parked, OMG full-on hitch to shin, and in uniform to top it off.

I was doing all I could to stay cool, on the inside i was crying like a little girl.

Oh man hitting a hitch HURTS.

Back when I was very young and very stupid, I laid a Honda Mini Trail on its side, right on top of my bare leg (cutoff jeans, sneakers and a T shirt complete the protection offered by a helmet) and I still have faint burn scars on the inside of my right knee.

Yep - Suzuki TS50 - plus it was on a really gnarly asphalt/gravel parking lot so I ground off a load of skin before the branding started.

I have a receiver hitch on the mighty 'Taco but the fixed one on my Civic would get me all the time.

Hitches are annoying but for some reason I tend to walk around trucks with canopies and the back glass is up for no apparent reason at a perfect angle to crack my forehead.
