I have a PS2 hooked to my new tV, that took a LoT of wrangling to make work. Getting a Xbox for the kids for Christmas and trying to figure out how to run the cables. There is a 1.5" conduit in the wall from the cabinet below to the TV hanging on the wall, the cables for the ps2 take a lot of that up. Wondering if there is a data port of some sort that I can plug multiple systems into and only have to fish one cable through the wall. Anyone know of anything? Thanks!
A PS2? Wow
For modernish stuff, a HDMI switch would do the trick.
Get a PS2 to HDMI adapter, then you just have the one cable to run through the conduit plus a second for the XBox. That's probably the easiest solution. I'm guessing you're running composite now given the number of cables.
Alternately, with the HDMI adapter, you run everything into an HDMI-capable receiver and it sends the video signal to the TV via HDMI. One cable for everything.
You can also get HDMI switches, kinda like the one I had for my VIC-20 that let me hijack the cable coax connection :) I think some of them are smart enough to switch inputs when something is turned on an off.
Yeah, you can find HDMI switches, and you can find composite video switches, so success is going to depend on what mixture of sources you have, and what inputs your television has.

I have a PS2 that I hook up to my TV as well. The 8 year old doesn't care that it's 20 years old, he just likes to play Gran Turismo.

Yup, only game I still have for it.
