Datsun Sunny...Letdown....

Looks pretty nice....yea?

So I saw this little gem on Craigslist and am thinking that this would be a perfect second car for the Challenge. Its already set up for a rotary and most of the work is done! After seeing the Mazda RX3 buy, I am thinking this Sunny is a similar buy. With $1,000 in my pocket I went to see it.

I don't think I have ever been more disappointed. Everything I looked at on the car, I tried in the worst way to justify that it was not as bad as it looks. Hood need this, suspension needs this, redo this, and on and on and on....and on.

The seller said to make him an offer, it could not hurt. Realistically whatever I offered, would have hurt me. I'm truly blue, discouraged, and still thinking about the little car.....

I always loved those rear fender vents.

Unfortunately, the mods for drag racing don't generally lend themselves well to other types of competition. That makes it a single purpose car.

I dunno, seems like a good Challenge start....
