Here it comes.
I saw Kyle Busch broke his leg yesterday. Apparently the cars are good at finding spots with no SAFER wall.

To hard on the throttle.
Let the conspiracy theories begin! I'm a huge Jeff Gordon fan, but I bet a lot of people will cry if he wins today.
Too bad He got caught up late. Logano had the strong car the last half. He was able to just pull from the pack on the high side. It was good racing.
I can't believe that 3 wide running towards the end. I'm shocked they didn't take out half the field. The GWC crash was inevitable.
Pretty much anyone who got out front was able to stay there for quite a while--saw the same thing in the shootout and the qualifying races.
Allgaier should have pulled off the second his motor blew and not tried to go around, sliding on his own fluids, wrecking, and bringing out that stupid Green/White crap.
It certainly wasn't as demolition derby like as it can be, but I quite enjoyed the second half of the race up to the finish.

I really have no use for him … that said, whatever happened to innocent 'til proven guilty ? he's not be convicted of any crime, not even been charged .. as best as I can find out
to the best of my knowledge, all that's happened so far is A judge (not a jury) has decided that there is "creditable evidence" that he may have committed domestic violence against his ex-GF … who was in his hauler … uninvited
seems there might be a lot of he said she said …
I realize that NASCAR is a "private club" so-to-speak, and therefore can do pretty much what they want …
In reply to wbjones:
While I don't agree with it I don't blame them. After seeing everything the NFL went through last year They would be foolish to look like they were not taking the accusations seriously. There are groups that go around looking for things to be angry about regardless of facts. Why give them a reason to boycott your sponsors as a way to make a name for themselves.
I'm actually bummed I forgot to watch it.
I don't follow NASCAR, but I feel an odd obligation to catch the Daytona 500.

Kurt Busch Nascar career was over when threw his Temper Tantrum at Dr. Jerry Punch, a guy that saved two drivers lives at the track and a super nice guy.
so you're saying that NASCAR was just looking for a reason to ban KB ?
I don't follow as closely as I did 30 - 40 yrs ago … what did Bush do to Dr. Punch ?
I don't know that they were actively looking to ban him but no one there is sad to see him go. Googling Kurt Busch incidents caused my phone battery to die.

Well, no. That was 3+ years ago, and after doing his penance in a backmarker car, he was able to get back into a front-running team (Stewart-Haas). The guy can drive, of that there's no doubt. But his history of off-track incidents is absolutely a factor in this suspension. As is the general climate around domestic abuse issues since Ray Rice, etc.
Anyhow, the race was pretty good, for a plate race. There was no "big one", just a few "medium ones" including the one on the last lap. Nobody got hurt (Kyle Busch notwithstanding, that wasn't in the 500), and we got a young first-time winner who seems to be a budding superstar. All in all, a good race.
