The drug war in Mexico is killing something like 50 innocent civilians a month, plus all of the hundreds of people actually involved in the drug trade! That makes the Middle East look kinda tame.

Are you the conservationist Teddy that reserved forests, game lands, authored books on birds and occasionally started a war so he could look awesome posing on a horse or the other one, you know, the commie with polio that ruined America? :)
The whole story smells of three day old fish. She claims they knew nothing about the Mexican pirates on this particular lake. Hell, I live in SC and I knew about them.
wow, i would expect this sort of callous behavior from 4tran or the like, but not from you guys.
this woman lost her husband and you call her an idiot, wow.
if you don't like what's on TV, change the channel, or turn it off and go outside ferchrissakes. personal responsibility and all...

Exactly. Don't jetski where you shouldn't. And have they found a body?

No, ofcourse not. Simple ordinary precautions will keep you safe. If you see a boat like this, DO NOT JUMP IT'S WAKE.

I think you are confused. Teddy never had polio that was FDR, the commie that saved the world from the fascist Nazi war mongers.

Book your cruise on the right ship and have fun:

I've been to Teddy Rooseelt's house. Ate a sandwich on Teddy Roosevelt's porch, and shopped at Teddy Roosevelt's gift shop. You sir, are no Teddy Roosevelt.

report from stratfor, who have the connections to know the real story.
and yes, personal responsibility, don't watch these people on TV, then come complaining on the internet that they won't "get off your tv". change the channel, or just turn the whole thing off, nobody is making you watch that channel

well, at least two guys, ignorant, who always lives up to his name, and spitfirebill implying that the lady probably killed her husband and is using the cartel angle to cover it up. there was even a homeowner on the US side that called the shooting in saying there were men with guns chasing and shooting at people on jetskis

Teddy labeled himself a Progressive, promoted the expansion of Federal powers and used those powers - some was good, some was bad; his cousin followed the same route.
As far as a grieving widow getting face-time on TV, maybe she wouldn't be there if "someone" was doing their job.

I actually think the death toll is even higher than that. Lots of police occifers are getting gunned down everyday from what I've been reading

If you think legalizing the happy stuff will stop any of this, you are so mistaken its not even funny. When the states stops being a glutton for drugs is the day things change.
We should declare war on the drug cartels. Not like the fake war on drugs, but a real, warheads on foreheads, type of affair. Then legalize it and tax the living daylights out of it.
Tax it too much and it will create an incentive for illegal drugs again. So, legalize it and tax it a lot, but not too much.

Indeed. The cigarette tax is already high enough to cause this to occur. BTW, guess who's using illegal cigarettes to make money to fund their operations?

Deroy Murdoch said: Terrorists move cigarettes because they are light, portable, and otherwise legal, and produce cash. "Law enforcement officials in New York State estimate that well-organized cigarette smuggling networks generate between $200,000-$300,000 per week," a 2008 House Homeland Security Committee Republican staff report concluded. "A large percentage of the money is believed to be sent back to the Middle East, where it directly or indirectly finances groups such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and al-Qaeda." The notorious "Lackawanna Six" Islamic-terror cell reportedly traveled in 2001 from Buffalo to al-Qaeda's al Farooq training camp in Afghanistan. They scored $14,000 in travel money from Aref Ahmed, a former gas-station operator who was among five defendants convicted in 2004 for cigarette trafficking and money laundering.

You have to admit, it would be a very good cover for getting rid of someone.

I'm going to run with "faked own death to get away from annoying wife" based on the missing body.

Question: what's a stratfor? Answer: playing awesome solos!
Joey
Okay, so a guy and his wife were jetskiing (now I already disbelieve this story, no one has jetskis anymore, just waverunners, which are totally lame in comparison) on a lake that borders Mexico, they got on the Mexican side of the lake, and the husband was supposedly shot/killed, but there's no body.
Okay, #1 What were they doing "jetskiing" on the wrong side of the lake? Just being there seems pretty pants-on-head retarded to me.
