there's a 13 second commercial before it starts

They've been doing this for 20 years...I always enjoy it (I just stopped welding this morning to listen to it...hardly anything makes me stop welding)

I sometimes wonder how many people would answer correctly if you asked them what the first line of the Declaration of Independence was, and among those who answered wrong, what percentage would answer "We hold these truths to be self-evident" vs. "We the People of the United States."

First line?

When a government has ceased to protect the lives, liberty and property of the people, from whom its legitimate powers are derived, and for the advancement of whose happiness it was instituted, and so far from being a guarantee for the enjoyment of those inestimable and inalienable rights, becomes an instrument in the hands of evil rulers for their oppression.

"When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.......

I would have accepted "When in the course of human events."

What Declaration of Independence are you guys talking about?

Well I'm hoping it's the new one where Texas declares their independence from the land of the "I love you and you love me".

I already posted the real Declaration of Independence, that of my fair state of Texas (that I have lived in all of two months, but shhh).
