I get deja vu'. Like to the point where I realize it's happening, stop what I'm doing, and go "that guy will say X, that dog will bark y times, and then a red car" and then it berking happens. I tried changing it a few times and ended up with massive, crazy dreams the following night. I'm starting to get weirded out by it.
BTW, I can remember nearly all of my dreams, and from nearly every night. Not snippits, the whole thing. Also, I can read in my dreams, then the words change, and I realize I'm dreaming and make the words change back.
Should I see a shrink?

naw .... you just need your own show
happened to me today as well.
Happens. I think you're fine.
No clue but I've been having the same thing. The other day something happened that I dreamt about months ago. Nothing crazy or a big prediction, I just had a day and I was like, wait a minute, this either happened before exactly the way it's happening now or I dreamt it, this will happen next, then this. Whoah. And it wasn't a day that would have happened normally as the circumstances and players were new.
I'm the same. Every dream is remembered, and I average 2-3 intense deja vu experiences per week, to the detail that you describe. I've actually talked to a couple Dr's about it. One recommended a sleep study because they think I'm not getting to stage 5 sleep. The other recommended a psychologist.
I just say I'm special, haha.
It's a glitch in the Matrix...
When people die they are run through a processing center and all memory and Extra Sensory stuff is erased. Sometimes, when it's busy, things get missed. I had a friend that missed the process all together; he could telecommunicate with his Dad, read your thoughts under certain conditions and move a pencil if it was quiet enough.
Send yourself back for re-cycling.
Or enjoy it.

I think we all get it in to one degree or another
I think I've read this thread before...
Anyway, glad to hear it's fairly normal, at least amongst you nutcases.
What about the controlling the dreams thing? And reading in them?
I think you are reading too much in them as it is!
You are very aware and perceptive. Why would your dreams be any different?
quit the anchovie and pickle pizza's before bed man.
don't see a shrink, see a bookie!

Yep, same deal here... especially with the dreams.
I've been able to remember dreams since I was a little kid. Some very entertaining, some downright terrifying, but I can remember them back to the most inane, minute details, including colors, smells, and being able to read. I plan on writing a book or starting a blog about my crazy dreams. I'll have to share a few when I have some more time.
I also grew up in a house that had a lot of what I would call "paranormal" things going on there, and have witnessed my share of events in other places (not just my house) that defy logic and explanation. Not everyone believes in that kind of thing, and I understand that, but when this stuff happens to you, it's pretty crazy. And no, I'm not off my rocker.
Not sure if that has any correlation to the Deja Vu/Dream stuff, but it's still strange nonetheless.
yeah, I get that too. I just tell myself everythings fine and try to move on.
I don't like my dreams, its all nightmares etc..

Controlling dreams is not uncommon. It's called lucid dreaming. I do that a lot too. Usually use the opportunity to fly.
Reading in them... dunno. Stranger phenomena than that have happened.
I suffer from an extreme case of CRS (can't remember E36 M3) so deja-vu is pretty much out.
Y'all are just weird.
happened to me today as well.
That happens to me occasionally. Not very often, maybe once or twice a year and it makes me almost get a panic attack because as Ductape&Bondo said, the circumstances are different and the players are new.
Something that happens to me more often than Deja Vu is right before something happens, an image or a word pops into my head and then I see or hear it. Not like Deja Vu where the entire situation seems to be repeating but just small pieces that I know right before they happen. It's pretty useless but just kinda weird.

I get it several times per week. Latest one was at the Columbus Audi monthly get together, was sitting next to someone I'd never met before and he made a peculiar hand gesture while talking about old-timers' indifference to chemicals in the workplace,
Not a conversation, person, or location I'd ever had, but I clearly remembered that second or two of time from a dream a while back.
Anyway, experiences like this make me severely question the nature of the universe. Time can't be linear and/or free will can't be real, or something.
The most unusual case of deja vu I ever had was when meeting somebody for the first time once, I knew their complete name before they said it.
I have very unusual dreams and almost always remember them in entirety. There will typically be people and situations that have been on my mind lately, and the setting, or settings are recurring, and familiar, but never anywhere I've ever actually been. They will be jumbled together to make a story that rarely makes sense, or is so absurd that it's funny.
Sometimes I'll have one, and not realize it, then something happens later that triggers a memory, and it will all come back. They're so odd that they can be very entertaining. Sometimes I think I should write them down and make short stories out of them. One of the side effects of Zyban is weird dreams, and often people will stop taking it for that reason. When I was taking it, the dreams were truly bizarre, and I loved it.
