I stumbled onto this and found it to be pretty unique.
Johnny Knoxville (who I do/did not care for) is the lead in this documentary of 4 videos. He does a great job highlighting positive elements of downtown Detroit.
We have talked much about Detroit here in the past, I thought you should see it.

I enjoyed watching that, such a tremendous amount of potential in that city! I really dig the architecture and the sense of community that the video portrayed. I haven't ever seen Johnny Knoxville in anything where he wasn't trying to injure himself, and I think he did a good job with it.
Pretty cool.
ECM- what's really interesting about the architecture- when the buildings became less useful, instead of tearing them down, and starting over- like you see in New York and Chicago- they tended to be abandoned. So there's all this really killer architecture just waiting to be restored. Amazing.
Yep, I think once this whole global economic ZOMGMELTDOWN turns the corner, Detroit will become a mecca for urban renewal. It should be pretty cool what happens there when the fog clears.
I like the line: "you know everyone in Detroit" "Yeah, there's only 8 of us left"
But I appreciate the guys effects. Hope he succeeds

Cool videos, and of course it is nice to see there is some hope. Like 4cylindrfury said, It will be awesome to see the place turn into a mecca for urban renewal. Everyone looks at Detroit and says "here is what not to do". Now people need to look at it and say "Here is how we bring it back".
Don't call it a comeback!

I do always think it would be pretty cool to see a city that has been completely abandoned. Say only a population of 100,000 left. Imagine the things you could get away with? (namely, anything awesome to do with cars).
