NOT dead!
I was listening to The Offspring last night in the garage and it brought back many memories. The sure have a lot of great songs.
So then I typed them into wikipedia for some light reading. Did you know Dexter was valedictorian of his high school class and earned a masters in molecular biology before The Offspring took off? (he has since completed his PhD in Molecular Biology as well).
I really love running across examples of people who excel in multiple categories. People who strive to do everything they do well. A good example to live by I think - if you're not going to do it well why are you doing it? I get it that some people are born much more talented than others but when you breakdown a lifetime there is a whole lot of time for constant incremental improvement.
Get out there and do something really well today. And maybe play some Offspring.
BAAAH! BASTARD! You know the rules about posting just someone's name.
Don't do that.
What if I'm going to be mediocre today but now I want to listen to The Offspring?

Almost a dozen horror movie stars have died in the last week, please, watch the thread titles.

yeah sorry guys. We could change the title to "Dexter Holland of The Offspring - NOT dead" but I also don't want to jinx anything.

I’ll be mediocre and try NOT to listen to the Offspring.
Its really a shame that Crazy Taxi didn't use songs from Smash.

No worries. That title took care of my morning coffee. I'm wide awake.

Wait a minute, are you asking me to come out and play?
I saw the Offspring around 93-94 is a small hall that held about 200 people, this was about the day before they got national airplay. Likely only knew about them from my two roommates that were more into music than me.
Wait it was the day after they got recognition, I remember all the people outside that could not get in.
Hey man, you know he's really okay...
We saw them almost two years ago at the Welcome to Rockville festival in Jax.

I've seen them twice. If I was stranded on a desert island, smash and I Ixnay would make the album cut.

I thought all the queen guys were pretty academically accomplished. Except, well, Freddie.

A guy I used to work with was named Leif. He had a younger brother named Rock. No joke.
People that like punk rock seem to be really smart or really not. They all look homeless and smell bad though.
