Greg Ham, musician with Australian band Men at Work, was found dead in his Melbourne home Thursday (April 19), according to local police. Two friends of Ham's who had not heard from him in some time found the body after going into the house to check on him. No details have been released yet as to the cause of death.

"There are a number of unexplained aspects to it which has caused our attendance here today, and we're assisting the local detectives to determine what has occurred," Detective Senior Sergeant Shane O'Connell tells reporters.

Ham was a saxophonist, keyboardist, singer and flautist for the band, famously playing the flute solo on the band's 1981 hit "Down Under," which was their single that gave them the honor of being the only Australian artists to ever simultaneously have a #1 album and #1 single in the United States. Ham also played the saxophone solo on the band's other 1981 hit "Who Can It Be Now." The group won the Best New Artist Grammy in 1983.

Colin Hay, frontman for Men at Work, released a statement regarding Ham's passing: "We played in a band and conquered the world together. I love him very much. He's a beautiful man. The saxophone solo on 'Who Can It Be Now' was the rehearsal take. We kept it, that was the one. He's here forever."

Took the drummer for The Band with him too. Well, the smokes helped a bunch with that.
