I read his book last year and he had a bad wreck in either an XKE or Corvette back in the early 60's. He is a car guy for sure. His book was very good too. He really seems like a nice guy.

I think you mean Joseph Lucas. I don't believe there are Lucas electrics in Jags any more, though that shouldn't stop any jokes...
When my wife heard about it being a Jag and before pics were available, she said "must be an XJS."
Having had an XJS with the requisite engine fire, I told her I doubted there was still one around that hadn't had it yet...
And, for the record, the engine fires on the XJS are caused by failing fuel injector hose, made brittle by the extreme heat at the top of the engine. The hoses squirt fuel at the distributor, also at the top of then engine in the "valley." FOOF!! is the sound...
I have always enjoyed his humor along with his brother; Jerry. Two funny and classy guys from Danville, Illinois
Glad he's OK. Seems that Jaguar has some problems...

I don't care how rich you are, that happens and you've had a REALLY bad day.
Good that no one was hurt.

Someone more clever than me will probably weave a tandoori joke in there somewhere...

"Later, Van Dyke tweeted his own photo and comment: "Used Jag for sale REAL CHEAP!!""

Did you know there are words to the Dick Van Dyke Show theme song? He sang them on NPR once. Really cool guy.

Except back when he was drinking. He covered it up pretty well, but addressed it several years ago. It amy also be in the book. Whatever, the man was extremely talented.
I always admired him as the man who got to get close to Mary Tyler Moore, when she was the hottest thing on TV. I say close, but remember this was when they still had to sleep in separate beds because of censorship.
