I think there was supposed to be a decimal point in the middle of both of those asking prices.

For reference, five years ago I sold my rust free & recently repainted '70 mustang coupe with to many rebuilt, replaced or upgraded parts to list for $7k. I had owned it for about 6 years and I think I just missed breaking even. When I bought it (for $800) it looked better than either of those Novas and could pass a NJ inspection.

Edit: Time flies! I sold that stang almost 7 years ago!

$3500? 'Needs a new gas tank and a few seals replaced' (that means it doesn't run)? It's the later 'big bumper' car? Bad paint? At least it's got the 'sorta' Rallye wheels, even if they are body color. $350 is more like it. Maybe $500 max not running, but it better not have any perforated rust.

EDIT: That Catalina is more in line, even with the stupid steering wheel. Wonder where he came across the wire wheels (Daytons, maybe)?

I mean hell I used to get rough but DD quality 2nd gen T/A's all day for 1200-1500. Now I have a hard time finding one with a engine that isn't completely rusted out for under 5000.

Looks like a lot of these Nova owners are doing crack or meth. At least this one has the ultra rare 283 straight six coupled with the super rare 402 Powerglide. I think he's lying about the kid; he really needs the money to fix the 'G' on his keyboard which seems to be coupled straight to the 'caps lock' or 'shift' keys.

The hood scoop, steering wheel and the APC pedals etc would have to go and the car needs to come down about an inch and a half to two inches but otherwise I think I'd rock it.
