I've said it before and I will say it again: Chevy perfected the small block Ford when they introduced the LS1.
And I'd really like to see some Cleveland-look valve covers for one. Heck, even dummy covers to cover up the coil packs would be pretty sweet.
Edelbrock has what you desire. They're cast aluminum and available in polished or proper black crinkle. I've seriously considered a set for the MG, but IIRC they don't fit the 1998 LS1 with the oddball valve covers.
In reply to Keith Tanner:
Those are nice coil covers but they don't remotely look like Cleveland valve covers. Or Windsor, for that matter.
(Splitting the difference, image is a Boss 302. Cleveland heads on a Windsor block, as-built by Ford!)

Hey, it's all I've got. Most covers look like plastic crap, the Edelbrock ones are a lot nicer.
That said, if you can swap an LS into a Fox, you can figure out how to put a set of giant valve covers over top of the coils. Looks pretty easy to me.

i honestly think that GM introduced the LS in the 97 model year because Ford was killing the Windsor off after the 96 model year and they wanted to show them that they were giving up on a good thing by falling into the "everything must have a camshaft or two bolted to the top of the cylinder head" trap...
The Windsor stuck around in the explorers until '01 I believe
I want to say I read somewhere the hurdle with putting LS heads on a Windsor bottom end is that the intake and exhaust valves are reversed versus the ford heads, so a custom camshaft would be required.
