Disassembled my Tasco Zip binoculars today. I didn't even know it was possible, but anything with screws can usually be disassembled right?

Long story short - Binocular case got soaked and condensation ended up building up in the binoculars. Only way to get it out is to take it apart.

Pretty straight forward and as long as you do one side at a time, it's easy. Luckily I have a small screw driver set which helped out immensely.

I got it back together, but I think I need to take the eyepiece back apart and put some grease in there, because I can hardly adjust it.

Now I can go back to bird watching.

So how much change did you find your binocs?

Most better binoculars are filled with nitrogen to prevent condensation. But maybe yours leaked out anyway if water got in them.

In reply to Basil Exposition:

Yeah, I never had a problem with that before. After they got soaked, that's when condensation got into them.
