Our primary isn't until Sept, 14, but I will be voting in it. I haven't missed voting any time I was eligible since I moved here in 1966. I agree with foxtrapper about the responsibility but also look at voting as my duty.

I am more interested in the local elections than the national stuff because they have a more direct impact on my life. I have in the past changed my party affillation just so I could vote for a particular person in the primary.

This primary will be interesting. In the county commissioner race I will be voting for 2 people because I like them. Then I will pick 3 of the other candidates at random. Which 3 doesn't matter because I am doing my part to see that an incumbent who is running doesn't make it past the primary.
