But will the Wrangler get the European 2.8-liter CRD inline-four good for 197 hp and 302 lb-ft of torque, paired with the NSG370 six-speed manual and Rubicon Rock-Trac transfer case? Because that, folks, is the holy grail item. Even Sergio was mum on this.
Would be worth it IMO. I would love to have a new GC with a turbo diesel, Especially one that has 400 ft-lbs of torque and probably 25 mpg.
they made the gc in 2008 with a Mercedes blutec diesel....
I don't think this unit is an M-B engine or at least the gadgetry isn't.
Why are they trying to get me to sell body parts to afford these things????
VM Motori.............. ................... PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
In Europe, you can get ALL the Jeep lineup with a diesel, and the Chrysler 300 is also available with a diesel. Though, in truth, the Euro Chrysler 300 with a diesel is really just a Dodge Magnum with a 300's front clip. Not sure if the "regular" 300 is diesel powered (the 300 sedan).
Dear Chrysler...
You and the EPA paid for the development of a v6 and v8 light duty cummins engine. Cummins built machining and assembly lines and then you walked away..
Why do you bring such trash engines to America when there are idle machines waiting to produce something good?
Thats great but i just want a cheap diesel 4 cyl manual trans pickup...
