That was a sad day, I'm happy I was fortunate enough to see him and Pantera live when I did.

That was a sad day for rock and for Columbus. And for some reason Dimebag's family felt it necessary to sue the venue. Like they were responsible for a completely unrelated and insane individual's actions.

Man, it still hurts. I remember hearing about it on the radio and it was devastating.
I am also fortunate that I got to see Pantera, on their final tour, the Extreme Steel tour in 2001. The bill was mostly awesome: Morbid Angel (I missed them though), Static-X (not my thing), Slayer ( \m/ \m/ ) and Pantera. Three prominent musicians from that tour (Wayne Static, Jeff Hanneman, and Dime) are no longer with us. Pantera was incredible at that show, and Dime had 24 Randall Warhead cabs on stage. It was a sonic assault like nothing else.
