In 90 minutes or so we will be departing for the big D in just over an hour and, after a layover, arriving tonight. We will be leaving Tuesday afternoon probably sunburnt and a few pounds heavier.
The wife and kids have been going nuts for the past few months and I'm finally starting to get excited.
Oh.... sorry... apparently it's closed:
Don't worry, your wallet will the thinner to compensate.

I am the jealous. I haven't been in a long time.
If the kiddies are older than 5, hit EPCOT; funner.
In before all the Disney haters...
Good for you, enjoy it. Last had the family there in 2013. If all goes according to plan, we may spend the entire month of June 2015 in Orlando (my current job is very lenient on working remotely).

Hope you guys have a great time! I personally would go insane over the amount of people and the rides. But I've never liked crowds.
Very cool! We're in the intial planning stages for a trip next year. Kids will be 13, 11, and 8ish, depending on when we go. I haven't been since a high school band trip in the early 90s. Trying to do the whole suprise thing but I'm horrible at keeping secrets.
Enjoy it! I have been there many times, with and without Kids and have always enjoyed it.
If you're tired of Disney by Sunday come out and watch some rallyecross.
Florida Rallyecross in Kissimmee on 9.14
I miss Disney. After going twice a year my entire childhood.... I haven't been in over 5 years.
I hope you and the family have an amazing time.
We'll be there 2nd week of October.

We haven't been there in quite a while, and we need to get back. Make sure you use the train that goes around the perimeter of the park...especially at closing time.
I went to EPCOT 2 years ago it was fun, if you plan on eating at a restaurant I would suggest getting a reservation, we enjoyed the food we ate at the french and Moroccan restaurant. My only regret is I didn't get a speed pass for Soarin and missed out on that ride, which I heard was the best ride.
We just got back home last night from our honeymoon. We spent the first few days at Disney World and then went off to Jamaica. We had a blast at Disney. We had 3 days to see all 4 parks and knocked it all out, the crowds were non-existent. We never waited more than 10-15 minutes for a ride, the Fast Passes were almost not needed.
I would highly suggest "Drinking Around the World" at Epcot, that can be a lot of fun!!
Better you than me. Yea, I'm a hater.
I'm with spitfirebill, but you have fun.
In reply to aircooled:
My parents once claimed we were going to go visit distant relatives I had never met in Ohio. Once deep in Ohio, I then thought it was kind of weird we were driving down a long pier with roller coasters in the distance.

You mean the train that goes around Magic Kingdom. It's cool, but IIRC it stops running a little while before the park actually closes. It does help you bypass the mad rush of people trying to exit via Main St. after the fireworks. We were there for 4th of July weekend last year, and it was so packed on Main Street, they opened an auxilliary exit right by the Buzz Lightyear ride to have people exit the park.
No wonder FB has been quiet the last couple days
Have fun, I hope to go in the next couple years.
I never went as a kid, but definitely want to take my kids once the youngest is over 7-8.
With that said, the Disnesy Cult members scare me almost as much as the CrossFit Cult members.

Thanks everyone!
The first day is in the books and so far we're all having a blast.
The crowds are minimal, I think our longest wait was 10 minutes or so. We did magic kingdom today and are hitting animal kingdom tomorrow. We're staying at coronado springs.
The Jack Sparrow impersonator is phenominal!
The 2nd flight in was pucker inducing. Turbulence the whole way and a rolling, yawing landing.
My butt bit a big chunk out of the seat!

This is my first time too. Not a bad way to burn 4 grand, right? :)
I've spent less and gotten more for myself but these are lifetime memories for all four of us.
