DIY Barn Find

I'll admit, Im one of those guys that looks at barn finds and wonders how the hell someone could let their vehicle end up that way.

I must now also admit I learned the answer to that question the hard way.

Job change forced a very fast move to a new state and new house without a garage.  But I had a barn so in goes the trike I had spent the past 2 years building.  And there it sat for 2 more years.  Now that the shop is done it was time to pull it out and rescue it from myself.

After a quick pressure washing she looked a bit better

Then I got to try out my new light wall in the shop for polishing, it helped quite a bit 

Gotta love fiberglass! Years languishing in a barn and and hour later with a buffer you would never know it. Groovy cool trike!

My 75 Stingray is turning into a future barn find. Now I know what that means. Thanks!

That would likely be true of gelcoated fiberglass but I painted this one about 3 years ago.  Luckily it took 12 coats of clear to bury the metal flake so it still polishes out nicely.

Short version: 83 CJ7 bought for my wife as a nice little runner but she wanted it repainted....long story below is the combined build thread of the Jeep and the Trike.  Jeep has a low mile rebuilt motor, I put new floors in it and painted it and had everything in great order but like the trike it's been sitting since the move.  I had replaced the ignition switch last year but then it sat and now something is keeping it from starting (it was starting with the new switch so its just something Im missing)  I havent put more than 5 minutes into figuring it out at this point but really need to as its the next one to put up for sale.

The Wilmac (which this is) was based off the Stires which was based off the Roth design so I suspect he would :)
