i want to order a truck in a few months. i'd rather go through one of you oddballs if you sell them instead of some random jerk at some random dealer i'll probably end up at. anyone?
side note, i wish i could just spec the truck on the ram website, give them a deposit, and say build it. that's how much i hate dealing with car dealers.
If Elon gets his way, you might be able to in the near future. Dealers have a really strong lobby though so maybe not.
I work for the gov'ment so no help on the ram. My FIL has one with the 3.0l diesel, sweet truck.
Yeah i need the work rig model, not the gaudy as berkeley model

I want one, but I don't a Chrysler product to not rust like stupid.
I just got mine- special order '16 Ram 1500 diesel 4x crew 6.5 bed with boxes. Not for whatever- not affiliated, but got a great deal from Dennis Dillon near Boise. When I got there to pick it up, finance still tried to sell me the BS undercoating (200 lbs!), paint sealant, fabric sealant, anti theft, extended warranty (this is at COST!), etc, but after I convinced him I was not in the market, I was able to order a truck to my specs - basically a unicorn not available on lots, and got a '16 in November '15 for ~$11k under MSRP.
So- basically, what you want to do, I did. Called the sales kid, spec'ed what I wanted, he gave me a price, and I got to think about it, call him back, put a deposit down, and he ordered it. Inconvenient to fly to Boise, and drive home, but it was worth it for the deal I got. Again, not affiliated, but probably worth a phone call if you are willing to fly and drive.
i saw them online and saw horrible reviews even though they have stuff listed for really cheap.
i'd rather pay a couple grand more and stay local, i have quite a fear of flying. or use their price to get one of the local dealers down where i want to be.
Since you say not thrilled by fly and drive this will likely fall on deaf ears but take it for what it is. One of our regular Time Trial drivers/Racers here in North Carolina is Brad Wood of Gerry Wood Ram. You will see his Blue SRT Viper in the Ultimate Street car coverage, nice guy, Solid motorsports supporter and, known to cut good deals for the fellow car guys I know who can afford to buy new.
NC way closer to drive/drive than idaho. Will look him up. Should i get your name to drop? Thanks!

just shot an email to brad, thanks for the heads up. salisbury is not a bad drive down 77 from here, and with as close as it is i could always take a trailer down and pull whatever i drive back with the new truck.
