I have some Franklin Mint models that I was given "in case you could sell them on eBay or something" and thought I'd see if anyone here would want them first; list is as follows:

Brand new in box:
2000 Limited Edition Christmas Model 5343/9900 1950 GMC Pickup

Like new in (opened) box:
1957 Pontiac Bonneville
1949 Cadillac Coupe De Ville

In good condition without box:
1910 Cadillac Model Thirty
1953 Chevrolet Corvette
1957 Chevrolet Corvette

In less than perfect condition without box:
1955 Pontiac Starchief (rear bumper detached but included)
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS (front bumper detached but included)
1989 Ferrari F40 (spoiler missing)

I've tried contacting a couple of local hobby shops and gotten no response, if someone here is interested I'd be happy to sell the whole lot to a GRMer on a "pay what you want" basis.

I have 6 FM Corvettes. Unfortunately, they're covered in dust. I really don't need any more!

FWIW, the Franklin Mint Duesenberg LaGrande dual cowl phaeton model was taken from the sister car to the one we have in the shop right now.

Don't tell the mint that they copied a replica body.

What scale are they? 1:18, 1:25?

Franklin Mints distribution center was a client of mine years ago. They had some pretty neat car models, and a lot of stuff that I couldn't figure out who was actually buying.

All 1:24 scale.

Sorry, when I hear Franklin Mint all I can think of is this:

Yeah, they don't do anything for me either. Even the (surprisingly many) people with websites advertising "WE BUY ALL FRANKLIN MINT MODELS" don't seem to give enough of a berkeley to reply to an email

I'd be interested in the 1955 and 1957 Pontiacs, although I have no clue on their value...let me know what you want for them.

Went through that with an entire store of Hummel crap. Bells, plates, statues. Sure the pricing guide said $65k(combined for everything) but couldn't give the things away.

Although I would be interested in that 40s Cadillac, I have no idea what it would be worth.

In reply to stuart in mn:

eBay completed listings indicates the 1957 Bonneville is worth somewhere between $30-100, and the 1955 Starchief would be worth $40-50 in good shape... but it's probably worthless with the bumper detached so if you wanted me to ship them both to you I'd consider that one to be free.

In reply to RevRico:

eBay says $30-80 for the 1949 Cadillacs. I'd assume mine is at the low end since I doubt I have whatever paperwork the hardcore collectors want.

My portfolio is filled with them. Right next to my Mark Mcguire and Sammy Sosa rookie baseball cards.

Unfortunately, anything made to be "collectible", is worthless.

Had a hard time getting my father to understand that when my grandmother died and left behind a crapload of Royal Dalton china.

It seems worthless until you try to replace the wife's gravy boat.

Yeah, collectibles are only worthless if YOU are trying to sell them. If YOU need to buy a specific piece, it will be hard to find and pricey when you do find it... because it is a rare and valuable collectible. Too bad if you ever want to sell it again, since it is once again worthless. At least until you cross paths with that illusive buyer who NEEDS it.

It was the 90s, everyone was getting them.

Mildly NSFW

I'll send you a PM to discuss details about payment and shipping and stuff.

You'll need to log in to post.
