Duh, of course. This video alway fuels that flame.

Also, I'm going to thread jack my own thread: I love that both these songs are simply titled Los Angeles.

Anyway, that's all I got. Back to editing and stuff.
Question is: Why don't I have a Hovercraft?
In reply to David S. Wallens:
I'm pretty sure you can fly it one-handed, seems like the perfect mode of transportation for you presently.
You don't really expect any of us to say no do you?
I vote we do a Hovercraft class at the Challenge next year. Scratch built only. Plans are allowed but not encouraged. It would be Epic watching all of them try to complete the autocross portion.

Ive got a set of blue prints somewhere to build one....
In reply to Toyman01:
Between your jet-boat & turbojet builds, I'd call that more of an unfair advantage than a set of plans.
$2018 can buy a lot of lift. Steering...maybe so.
I think it should be a class.

If my kid can do it, So can you
In reply to Pete Gossett:
If they give the go ahead, I'll clean out the shop and start building one tomorrow.
In reply to RevRico:
I've got a 500cc Kawasaki engine in the shop that should be more than enough for life and propulsion.

Pretty sure I can scare up a dirt cheap crotch rocket some squid died on for cheap. I'm in.
Most fun per dollar I ever had was a broken RC hovercraft I bought for $20. Fixed it up (mainly patching the skirt with electrical tape) and hooned it all over the place until one of the thrust motors seized up. Housing seemed to be sealed for life and the prop seemed to be pressed onto the motor shaft...

Going to be the voice of dissent...Go for a Blimp. Same drifty poor cornering performance, but a much bigger presence.
Plus, parachuting into the challenge parking lot opportunities.
The blimp is intriguing but I'll be honest: I'm not a fan of heights. I got my first helicopter rides recently and wasn't the biggest fan. This weekend I had to walk around a deep skatepark pool. Even that didn't thrill me. I know.
The trouble with hovercrafts is they don't stop or steer very well.

You don't need those things to look good.

Jesus, you sound exactly like the guy I talked to at the DMV.
In reply to psteav:
That is the funniest comment I have read on grm in a while. Thank you.
My hovercraft is full of eels.

Neither do Mustangs, but that didn't stop JG.

Meh, that's what landscaping is for.
