I have had a '99 and an '07 Vulcan Taurus in the fleet, Great, albeit boring, cars. If I hadn't stuffed the '99 into the back of a minivan, I would still be rocking that car today. When I killed it it was at 125k miles, didn't burn a drop of oil and had alot of life left in it.

The fourth gen was a bit nicer and more refined, just as reliable. That was totaled a year ago with 70k when some texting SUV driver hit it when it was parked.

Both cars where relatively easy to work on, never invoking profanity, unlike the FWD V6 pontiacs that inspired new and unheard of levels of cursing.

I have also spent some time my sister's '05 GP. I can not think of a single redeeming quality to that car. Maybe I didn't fit in it right, but the ergonomics where the second worst I have ever been in. Trying to look out the back to the sides was impossible with the high belt line and small windows.
