The painted fiberglass tonneau on my pickup weighs about 300 lbs and today the struts quit. They are model C16-1334; I assume the 13 & 34 refer to its open and closed lengths, no idea about the C16.

The one below is a C16-06874 and it lifts 40 lbs (according to the spec sheet) I cannot find a C16-1334 anywhere. I'm trying to cross reference any strut to the needs of my tonneau but don't want to over or under power it.

Any ideas?

Having said that I bought new ones for the Toyota sienna trunk from Napa. They crossed the numbers no problem.

I found that ford explorer props worked on the 318ti.. and were a lot stronger

The O'Reillys here have a whole section for gas struts. Just take it in and side by side compare them.

Dimensionally it's no problem, my concern is for the pressure. Do you know how to determine the lifting force of a #1334 vs another with the same dimensions?

RockAuto has Universal parts on the top of the selection window. Then click Body, then Universal Lift Support. You might be able to gleam some info from that.
