Simple question. I don't, as part of some sort of silly self-righteous "I have morals; I live by a code" feeling. I am vain enough that I would not be being honest if I tried to tell you I don't look back at my posts to see if they are thumbs-uped.
So: what do you do?
I definitely have silliness in my moral code, and I do not thumbs-up my own posts. I am, of course, generally curious about whether other people thumbs-up my posts.
I thumb up a lot. I don't think I've ever thumbed down a post.
I do get a little sad when I try to make a joke and it gets no thumb ups.
Edit I missed the my own post part. No I do not do that.

This. <thumbs up>
Up-thumbing your own posts is like nicknaming yourself.
I check my own posts to see if anybody else gave me fake internet points but I don't give them to myself. That's silly.

You do not thumb yourself. The thumbs find you.
I thumbs down other people a lot
I accidentally thumb down a lot of people when scrolling on my phone, but always try to correct it by giving a thumbs up if I catch it.
I don't even pay attention to the thumbs. Had to look to see where they show up.

I either thumbs upped or downed all the posts above. Mostly all willy-nilly.
Thumb up your own post? Doesn't that cause blindness!?
I can hardly count how many others I have given the thumb to.
Here, you can only give one thumb. I know of others where you can give the thumb over and over. Often with 2 thumbs at the same time.

Does unintentionally count? Not only can it happen while finger-scrolling, but also when that stupid last little shift down of the page occurs as it finally fully loads at the exact moment you try to click on something... Like the quote/reply/edit buttons, which on small screens are right below the thumbs up/down buttons.
I don't thumb my own either way. I do watch my thumbs, especially if I think I said something I maybe shouldn't have though. While anonymous, still a good indication if I pissed someone off or made someone laugh.
Thumbing up one's own post? Wouldn't that be akin to blowing one's own horn? Modesty prevents me from doing either. But I am deeply appreciative of those who recognize that virtually every nugget I post here is worthy of great praise and admiration, and truly adds a level of sophistication that would otherwise be sorely lacking.
Well at least this didn't turn out to be some kind of euphemism....

You can do that? I'm about to check...
Edit: WHAAAT I didn't know you could do that! Just assumed you couldn't. Seems like cheating, so I'll continue not to ![cheeky cheeky](https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/static/ckeditor/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/tongue_smile.png)
Edit2: Did someone thumb me down to put this post back at zero? Just curious. Or was a bugfix rolled out? ![laugh laugh](https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/static/ckeditor/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/teeth_smile.png)
I thumbs upped your post and it said -2. Then I thumbs downed and it said -1...
I once posted in the Minor Confessions thread that I occasionally give myself a thumb’s up and when I checked the thread later I had something like seventeen thumbs up…bhahaha!!!
Anyway, no, I actually don’t give my own threads a thumb’s up but not due to moral awesomeness, I just figure the mods can see where the thumbs up are originating from and I don’t want to look like a massive narcissist.

My post has passed into a mirror universe! ![surprise surprise](https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/static/ckeditor/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/omg_smile.png)
I find it curious to consider whether it is possible to make a post that positively infuriates a large number of members who proceed to down-vote the post, while simultaneously that same post rings true to an equal and opposite faction that ebulliently up-votes the post. The net effect could be neutral, completely obscuring the firestorm of up- and down-votes occurring behind the scenes.

Just go on Facebook and say you love or hate any specific president. Happens every time.
Thumbs up are on me today boys!
Everybody gets one!
