I haven't ever. Should I be?
Thanks,
I never have. Heck the truck is usually pulling away before they manage to get the package into my hands. Always in a rush those drivers are.
I always tip the bartender and I make sure to slip a tip into the jar at the taqueria because when I do the burritos are usually double the size
Only at Christmas time. I've never tipped them and when I was a driver, never received tips. Didn't expect them either.

A kid on a bicycle trudging through snow dragging a canvas bag full of papers? Yes.
The guy that drives around chucking them anywhere near your house, not so much.
That's just me....

"I WANT MY TWO DOLLARS!!!"
Both UPS and Fedex drivers get gift cards for dinner and/or movies from me.
My feedback rating on ebay is pretty close to my post count here, and there are a lot of packages that come to my place.
My paper dude drove around in a Lincoln Mark VIII. He always inserted a SASE envelope and a badly xeroxed calendar asking for tips. I would mail him a check.
This year he announced he was going on Uncle Sam's dole and was retiring at 62 years old. (social security). Now I have a young punk in a ricey Honda.

My sister worked for Rot's Disposal in Westmont, Illinois and would leave cold cans of beer on the top of the garbage late at night for the guys. They did an early pickup for my Dad's 'hood.
Disclaimer: This company was long ago sold to Waste Management.
we take care of the post man and the garbage folk... the paper deliver can kma
yrs ago we had 3 ft snow ... known locally as the blizzard of '93 and the paper was there every day... how I don't know... flash forward 17 yrs ... this yr we had several snows (unusual for this area) the 12" I'll give him a pass on ... except it took 8 days before we got a paper... all the rest of the snows were to much for his Altima... + the people at the paper won't tell us who he is, so even if we were so inclined we couldn't mail it to him.
I take care of everyone at Christmas time, and the trash people all year. We're only supposed to get one can but when they come here if it fits in the truck it goes.
I worked for UPS for a week during the winter, right before Christmas, and the stuff people gave me and the driver I was working with was awesome. Candy, chocolate-covered popcorn, a catering place gave us free sandwiches. Some security system business was having their Christmas party, they invited us in and I ate so much good food, really made my day.
Just saying, stuff like that isn't unappreciated.
*OT: How did you fix the spelling error in the subject?
I can't find any way to rename a thread once its released into the wild.

My youngest Daughter delivers our local community newspaper using a canvas sack and her bike. Everyone gets a paper and she gets paid by collecting a $2 weekly voluntary payment from each home. I'm stunned at the number of people who won't pay. The deadbeats tend to be the homes with the newest cars and a lawn service.

Magic I guess, I wished for it, and the next time I looked it was spelled correctly. I have Jedi powers!
*I am guessing an admin fixed it up.
I had several hundred pounds of deliveries spread over about 10 days once. Came in ~15-20 boxes. The heaviest box was right about seventy pounds.
At the time, we lived in an apartment up >50 stairs.
This happened in November, I was going to get the UPS guy one heck of a thank you for Christmas, but he switched routes before the holiday's really hit.
Never occurred to me to tip them. I usually pay a hefty customs fee upon delivery and I'm still pissed about receiving only three billet rims a couple of years ago.
Maybe I'm a prick, but with what these guys get paid, a tip is the last thing on my mind. Like one of the above posts, one of my last UPS delivered boxes to be delivered was totally demolished. Luckily, it was a wheel bearing so no harm done.
I can not say that I have ever tipped them but I do go out of my way to be fiendly and plesant to the driver. You can not affect everyone who touches your package but you sure can have a plesant affect on the guy who decides weather to leave it out in the rain or not!
