I just revert back to my bachelor self, i.e. simple meals while playing video games and drinking beer. I do end up sleeping on the couch out of laziness and feeling weird in bed by myself
I either go to sleep 1-2 hours earlier, or end up reading in bed for 2 hours longer because she doesn't tell me to turn off the light. Assuming I haven't had too much to drink, I sleep better too, but that is simply a result of having more bed space to myself.

When she is here, we're usually up later. She finds chores for us to do. With me, I don't care if the dishes wait til tomorrow. I don't watch nearly as much TV, so we don't have noise going until 10:30PM if she is gone. We're also on fairly differenet work schedules--I leave the house at 6:30AM, and return at 5:00 to 5:30PM. She leaves the house at 7:30PM, and returns at 4:30PM two days a week, and 7:30 to 8:30PM three days a week.
We're also still working out our routines; we've only been living together for a month. We had lived together for 4 months prior to this, and been together for 5.5 years though, so a lot of it is just learning how to get our habits in sync.
I travel a lot for work. The first night in the hotel is always hard but I think it's because it's a different place and not my own bed. After the first night it isn't so bad. Get used to it. Will admit I sleep better at home w/SWMBO next to me.
When I was younger I could sleep anyplace. Guess it had to do with being in the army and traveling around and taking advantage of sleep when you can between long hours.
I've been falling asleep on the couch a lot so far.
My wife is in the 4th week of her new job that has her traveling Mon-Thurs.
I've got to find a more productive use of my time than going to the bar since I don't want to be at home!

Gym. Basketball league. Volleyball league. Golf range. Learn new skill (study for actuarial exams, can you do math?)...
I have the same problem. Then contending with 3 mopey dogs, one of which refuses to eat when Mommy's not home doesn't help. That King size bed gets full with 150lbs of dogs in there.
I'm at the other extreme. SWMBO just retired, alarm goes off, I get all snuggy and warm......
Oof!(poke in the ribs) "You have to go to work!"
