So does Honda have an awesome sense of humor? Or are they seriously using Michael Bolton to try and sell cars?
Who likes Michael Bolton? Don't worry, no judgement here. I would just like to state that his music is terrible.

I gave up on Honda's thoughts a long time ago. They've made so many ridiculous decisions the last 10 years.......
I used to hate Michael Bolton.
Then I found out has a sense of humor. (Lonely Island music video thing on YouTube, in the name of no surprise links with sound)
It may be the only thing he's done that I liked, but it was awesome.
I don't like those Honda-Bolton commercials, but they are 1000 times better than the utterly stupid Acura ones where they are apparently marked cars to guys who have not a single friend and can't even get to their own wedding on time.
Its like they're trying for a humor angle on it but it just falls flat. Almost like theyre going for a similar goofy funny vibe like the Old Spice commercials have, but instead of it being humorous its either facepalm of eye roll enducing.
And the Acura commercials sell to me about as well as their cars look....blegh.

Ugh, you and your axe you have to grind against Honda.
So, some facts for the gentleman:
Honda Sales - US - 1993 to 2002 = 9,784,495
Honda Sales - US - 2003 to 2012 = 13,502,142
So "in the last 10 years..." Honda has sold 38% more cars (or 3,717,647) than in the 10 years before that. I guess people that actually buy cars disagree with you.

They must. They're now refusing to pay for my rental car cost when they berkeleyed up my 30k mile transmission. Don't buy a new honda. Evar.
They know what they are doing, my 8yo suggested we go look at Hondas after one of those commercials.

I needed an appliance for a salesman car (must have 4 doors) - so I got a 5-speed Accord LX Sedan.
61,000 miles - 32 months of trouble free. Cheap to run. I'm happy. (I changed my own tranny fluid)
17000 miles in my new Honda in 10 months with no issues so far. Damn back and forth from DC to Miami/Key West killing me and mileage.
T.J. wrote: This thread is supposed to be about their ad campaign, not the cars.
ad campaigns lead to car sales - so yes it is about their cars.
