I'll admit it: I haven't been inside a movie "theatre" in almost 20 years, and 1 reason why is movies like "The Backup Plan". Has Jennifer Lopez EVER been in a good movie? Not a GREAT movie, but a good/passable movie? She seems like a decent singer and may be okay as an actress, but I can't remember the title of any of her other movies...tho I know she has been in a few.
BTW, even if Ms. Lopez were not in the movie, the commercials they are running for it are painful to watch...make me want to throw something at the screen when they come on.
Sorry, it's been bugging me all night.
There was one where she plays a cop somewhat chasing after a strange guy as a love interest. Think it had "Jesus" in the title or something. It wasn't bad.
Obviously not good enough for me to remember the title.
It would depend on what type of movie you like. I am not a fan and have never watched any of her movies because as I recall they are always cute chic flicks. Just not my cup of tea. (I prefer Earl Grey)
Does J-Lo have a good movie? No. J-Lo has a big butt.

George Clooney was the bad guy, I think. Late 90's, and not a bad movie.
EDIT: Out of Sight. She plays a federal marshall, Clooney an escaped career bank robber.

She's had 2 good movies out of all of the crap.
Out of Sight was one of them.
However, U Turn is my favorite. Enjoyable movie if you like to see a guy get thrown into some real berkelyed-up circumstances. Billybob Thornton's mechanic character was entertaining.

I hate to say it, but the good Doctor is correct on this one.The rear section of her body kit carries her, in more ways than one, 90% of the time.
That is not a bad thing; I'm just sayin'..

That wasn't the one i was thinking of....
I was thinking of "Angel Eyes." It wasn't terrible.
It's been a long time since I've seen it, but I remember "The Cell" being decent.
Jersey Girl because she was only in the first 10 minutes.
Not much here. Out of Sight was pretty good (mostly because of Clooney of course) but the rest looks like crap. Selena might be a good one, but I never saw it.
BTW - She has a movie in development called Overboard. That better not be a remake of the Goldie Hawn Kurt Russel movie (which was actually pretty good), but I suspect it is. There are a bunch of movies and TV shows from the 80's being re-done, so I suspect they will destroy this one also (using Lopez is a pretty good way of doing that).

I actually heard the other day that they were doing a remake of "Overboard" and got seriously pissed. Now knowing that J-Lo is staring in it is just icing on the turd cake.
Wow, all those movies, and I've only seen trailers for 1 or 2. I hope she was paid well (enough) for all the screen time.

Is that sort of like how Executive Decision is only good because Steven Segal falls to a spattery death a few minutes in?
The Cell wasn't awful, in the sci-fi over the top cinematic sort of way.
Why do people get pissed over remakes? I love remakes. If I don't like the remake, well, the original was good. Or, maybe the original was bad but the remake is good. Oceans 11 comes to mind.
I like cover songs as well. Johnny cash covering Nick cave is how I found ot abou cash in the first place many years ago. Now both are among my favorites.

There is one movie where she is an ex-battered-wife struggling to stay hidden, but is eventually found by the greasy jerkweasel husband. That one wasn't bad.

That is the "Enough" movie listed above. She smacked around the Rocketeer guy pretty well.

I really liked Maid in Manhattan. It was the unlikely story of a hotel maid who winds up in an relationship with a billionare in a case of mistaken identities. I was so afraid what would happen when Ralph Fines found out she was actually a maid at the hotel and not a rich guest. I won't spoil the ending for you.
