Don't shoot your TV

A rural Wisconsin man is accused of shooting his TV with a shotgun and sparking an all-night standoff with police after watching Bristol Palin perform Monday on "Dancing With the Stars." Prosecutors say Steven Cowan of Vermont, Wis., about 20 miles northwest of Madison, did not think Palin was a good dancer, so he shot the TV and pointed the gun at his wife before she escaped, according to a criminal complaint. SWAT team members talked Cowan, 67, out of the home early Tuesday, and Palin advanced to the "DWTS" finals later that night.

Yeah, I heard that on the news today. Apparently the guy is just a little mentally unstable. I can't imagine what would give them that idea.

Really, Brisol Palin beat out BRANDY?!?

My wife watches, which pretty much means I "get" to watch.

DWTS seems like a good reason to cancel cable AND not put up and antenna.

That way she CAN'T watch it.

Depends on the set. If it was a nice flatscreen, he's mental. CRT, I'd cut him some slack.

I will gladly concede to Bristol Palin winning the voting on a stupid dance show if it meant that her mother would never win an election for anything important.

Rats...I was afraid people were going to turn this into a political post. Just take it for what it is, a funny story about some guy who shot his television.

Many's the time I've been tempted to blow a hole through the screen, usually when I see 'Survivor' or some other such 'reality' trash is on. So I guess I can kinda sympathize with the dude.

So being a 20 year old unwed mother makes you a star? South Albany is the new Hollywood.

Bristol is nothing like her mother; the show is already more than half way done and she hasn't quit yet !

which is why you have to answer the question, "have you ever been certified mentally defective?" when you buy a firearm... apparently the atf data on that doesn't get updated very often

I am trying to figure out if the Tea Party supporters are voting to keep her in because of her mother, or the Tea Party haters are voting to keep her in to embarrass the familty.

My neighbor threw his TV through the living room window when he came home from work and found his kids watching it on a nice day. He may have had a cocktail on the golf course before going home.
