Black Mountain--The Hair Song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mypHId8vOJw

Heard about these guys (and gal) for awhile, but never looked into them. Caught this on Sirius today and loved it right off the bat.

The hessians in the crowd should dig this for its decidedly 70's-soaked rock sound and aesthetic. Really solid, no-BS rock song.

Nice .

Flicking through the youtube comments....apparently J. Mascis remixed this song. However it appears to be only available through iTunes .

Used to be a COLOSSAL Dino Jr. fan, so I'd be VERY curious to hear that. I'm sure I can find it somewhere--or maybe amazon will get it in the near future.

I think you might mean "Heshers"

The Hessians were German soldiers conscripted by the british to fight against american revolutionairies. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hessian_(soldiers)

Heshers are the long hair rockers http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hesher

I think this might be a common mistake as I have had this conversation at least 30 times in the last 20 years.

I've actually heard both.

In the skate(board) world, I think I've heard "Hessian" more, FWIW (they have long hair, ride Creature boards. Indy trucks and skate transition)

Anyway: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hessian

You lost me at creature boards.

Killer tune, though. Had a very late-zep kinda beat and the blues tuning on the guitar was kinda Kashmir-ish.

Love it.
