So I got Drano to declog the drain in my shower and it didn't all in the drain. Some ended up on the tub. Is that going to damage it?

Generally, no. You should be fine, unless your tub is made of some kind of especially obscure material.

It should be fine. Just dont let Clobber (pro drain Cleaner) get on anything!

All I know about drano is that it is delicious on saltine crackers.

I had a slow drain in my tub and used that two in one foaming bit, worked great.

I've tried other stuff, nothing seems to work like Drano brand drain cleaner.

Yes, I'm practicing for my sponsorship.

Also, OP accidentally a word up there.

There is a tool I affectionately call the "black dick." It is a rubber thing you attach a garden hose to and put it down the clogged drain then turn the water to full blast and the dick does its work by pressurizing and pulsing to unclog the clog. Unfortunately you might end up displacing the clog to another trap and clog the plumbing downstream. I was lucky enough to flood a downstairs bathroom by doing just that. The bathroom which I rerocked and replaced the window and added venting to help remedy and existing mold issue, wasn't a great day, a little bit of water can sure make a hell of a mess.

Some clogs are very hard to get to so I just pour a gallon of the drain cleaner down and let it sit for awhile/overnight

I have one of those for a clog I had in my kitchen sink. THe line runs the length of the house to the sewer under the bathroom and the long horizontal line would just clog up. That took knocked it right out in a hurry
