Looking to see if anyone has experience with drawing software. Looking for something to play with as I plan my next motorcycle project.
I would like to be able to start with a picture of the bike and draw over it (that way I can keep the proportions. I have done this in the past with tracing paper and color pencils, I would like to give it a shot on the computer. I have OK art skills, not sure what will transfer.
I have an ipad that would be ideal. If not, I have a laptop. I don't want to spend lots on money on a program or app - I would prefer something under $30.
Below are examples of what I hope to achieve - can this be done on a iPad with a stylist? If not, what is needed?

Bah, my post just got lost in cyberspace... I vote iPad. Look at this:
Jot Touch
They have a list of the apps that support their stylus and also show many examples of art created with it.

I have sketchpad, it lets you import pics and then draw on them. Uses a lot of processor power and thus battery, to run though.

Jot touch with procreate or artrage etc.
Thanks for the help, I like the one that has the cool stylist, but I am not sure about dropping $90 on it.
I did mess around with a app that I already had on my iPad called Drawcast. I used that and a cheap combo ball point pen and stylist that I picked up at a trade show for free.
I found a pic I likes and I did the tank, seat, forks, headlight, swingarm and exhaust.
Didn't turn out too bad.
