Lol, if you look at the other thread I just started, you'll see the Iphone wasn't mine.

I think it was just the regular GPS that comes on an Iphone, and I think a first generation one too, but I'm not sure. For what its worth, there were three of us in the car doing this.
Person A: a computer programmer
Person B: me, for the most part very good with technology
Person C: a masters in computer something or the other.

After typing that, it makes me wonder why two of those people are in college and still caddying.

A good GPS built into a car with a bigger screen will always have more functionality when it comes to point A to point B directions (Note the Toyo/Lexus GPS systems give GPS a bad name), BUT when you're looking for things to do, businesses, eating places, gas, etc. the iPhone wins!

Bottom line is you really need both. To those of you who have neither, you just can't realize how much tougher you are making life. I sweat nothing! You want ice cream - got it! Walmart out of 5 gal jugs of your favorite oil - next closest Walmart - got it!

All in seconds, all while I'm on the run, all without having to stop, go to google or the yellow pages, make phone calls, etc. It's seamless.

Last night we had 2 Blackberry users in the car and I could find and do things faster than them while I was driving. Which means I could give the phone very little attention and still be safe. They finally absconded with my iPhone and things went even faster.
