My mother lives in a housing complex that has decided that they are going to use a new Tele/TV/Internet provider. Other than the confusion it is causing all the residents, it seems the only thing my mother is losing from her current cable package is the DVR feature. I'm not sure how much she currently records and watches but it sounds fairly significant. Is it worth getting a DVR nowadays? Or is Netflix, Roku, etc better. Part of the issue with any solution is she has poor eyesight, she really doesn't need another remote/gadget to learn and she is terrible with technology. I noticed one of the TIVOs is voice command, anyone have/had one? She has some friends telling her she can get a top of the line TIVO and not have to pay subscription fees, is there a way around monthly fees? TIA
