Someone just e-mailed a photo to me, and it arrived as expected. And then the same e-mail arrived again. And again. And again. And again. Repeat.

Other than screaming at my computer, any ideas on how to make it stop? Is it a problem on their end or my end?

"It depends". They might accidentally have sent it multiple times, there might be interesting side effects of mail servers talking to each other just about the wrong way etc etc.

Could also be your computer not telling your server that it got that email, so the server hasn't marked it as sent to you and trys again.

You could try hitting your server with an outside web-based email client, like squirrel or whatever people are using today, and logging into your email account and seeing if there are a bunch of that message there or just one, then delete whatever you want. Most ISP's will have some means to access/manage email accounts if you log onto their system directly.

If it matters, all other e-mails are acting totally fine.

Well, right now I have my e-mail program set up to automatically delete all messages from that address. Looks like they're the ones having the problem, as the e-mails I sent them came back. So, how long until this stops?

Sorry Dude. You are stuck in a never ending loop of email. Life, as you know it, is over. From here on in, its groundhog day.

No, not you. I did get a rather cryptic e-mail from turboswede. That's a user on this board, right?

Phew! That's a relief. I was afraid that I was in line for another misspelling.

We had this problem a while back as well. The server wasn't removing certain messages from the outbox when sending, and would send multiple times every time outlook did a send/receive. I think the record was 15. You might let them know it's happening, since they likely don't know unless they send themselves a message or something.

Well, looks like the problem fixed itself.
