I wish I had used earplugs more often years ago.

I always need earplugs for my canoe.

Since he's asking for a recommendation, not pushing a sales pitch, I'd let him slide a while...

I recommend the disposable foam earplugs you can get at any big box store or from Amazon.  3M is considered the industry standard but many of the off brands are just as good.  Just be sure to put them in correctly for maximum effectiveness.

I dunno.  If it looks like a canoe and quacks like a canoe, it's probably a canoe.

I use these

TEP-100

They are expensive but I wished I had started using them 30 years before I did (not that I had that particular option).  Yes, I know I can get this functionality in over the ear models, and I do put those on top when the situation allows. My ears haven't stopped ringing in almost 30 years and as of 5 years ago, I can't hear 11.5 kHz and up.  Considering that a single two year life hearing aid can be outside of challenge budget, whatever staves that off is money well spent.

Damn the canoes, full earplugs ahead!

He posted 5-6 nonsensical post in a sort amount of time.  The canoe may come yet.

One could argue that the canoe has already sailed.  I mean, he's got a promotional video and a link to the website up already.  That's fine if earplugs are of value to the community, but I think we should call a duck a duck.

No comment on the canoe status of OP.

I use the Etymotic and Sure Fire ear plugs. The Etys go in deep and do take some adjusting to. I think I slightly prefer the SureFire, but they get jostled around when I put my helmet on. Since I most frequently wear ear plugs while karting I go with the Etys.

FWIW, I use Mack's silicone ear plugs, twelve to a package, mostly for trying to sleep in challenging situations. (Just about every night). Pretty much one-time use, but I've used them more than once occasionally. I'm sure they'd be OK for work, motorsports, concerts, etc. They conform to the ear cavities perfectly, and stick in place tightly during first use. When inserted properly, they reduce decibel level to nearly zero. (Not good if you're expecting a break-in, natural disaster warning on your phone, or any other audio alert). I can't add a pic because I'm not at home at the moment. Maybe I'll add a pic here later if I remember. It's a blue box, available at most drug stores and WM.

Another vote for Mack's. I use them every night. I actually tear them in half because they fit my ears better.

Not sure if it is a canoe or not, but I am a customer. I have been using Big Ear custom molded earplugs/speakers for about 15 years. I'm on my third set now ( there were a few years I was riding over 12k miles a year, they sometimes wear out), they fit perfect, work really well and their customer service is great. They are a little more expensive than the other guys but I think it is worth it. I have always had mine fitted at a motorcycle show/rally, so don't have any knowledge of home set up.
