I've tried them several times now and all I can think of is that a couple boys came up to a big city probably delivering 'shine or bail dad out of the hoosegow and had stopped at a White Castle. They went home and tried to explain it to someone who explained it to someone else. The end result is a small square burger that looks kinda right but the taste is wrong, the onions are wrong, and there's mustard on it.former520 wrote: I am a little jelly, you have White Castles on the way, no WC in the PHX or west.Usually I won't take sides in matters of personal taste, but Krystal > White Castle. It's barely a contest. I've pushed some pretty suspect garbage down my throat and just kind of shrugged it off, but I just don't get the White Castle love when Krystal exists. Sure, you have to come to the South, which has its own drawbacks, but you get Krystals! And Bojangles!
Wall-e you are once again correct. My esteemed colleague JG could not be more incorrect. Krystals is indeed a horrid White Castle rip-off. They both will cause gastrointestinal distress, and neither are ideal for a road trip---unless you like to drive with the windows down. Even the french fries at White Castle are better. Not even close.
