Can we get back to the thieves that stole from us now?

Sure, we will start as soon as people starting voting the crooks out of office who commit the real theft.
How does this compare to all the federal employees who took state-funded unemployment during the shutdown but will now be paid all the wages they missed? Should they have to pay back the unemployment $ to the state? Or should the federal gov repay the states?
Ideally, I would love to see it taken out of congressional salaries, but that's unlikely...
I do not understand why they get paid back salary. They did not berkeleying work. This pisses me off more than the shutdown in the first place.

In all fairness, most of the government employees are not the perpetrators. And actually, the perpetrators were being paid the entire time.

I've wondered that too.

Story out of Oregon is that they got state unemployment (rightfully), but now that they were back-payed, they get to keep the money, which doesn't make any berkeleying sense.
If I'm laid off and 2 weeks later my employer brings me back and pays me for the 2 weeks, I would have to pay the state unemployment back. Why does my mouth-breathing DOL clerk not have to?!?

Well that makes it even more infuriating. Cantcha just leave me to my ignorance?!
No to find a patch of sand deep enough for my head...

Tax law says yes they do.
Heard an interesting number on the radio this morning, in Oklahoma City, 70% of the women who seek shelter/food services are trying to escape from an abusive spouse/partner.

And I would bet that most of those have kids.

No, it's just a poor attempt to make the situation fit your predetermined narrative.
