Lake Effect Racing has been around for over 2 years. We are based out of Cleveland, Ohio at a full service auto shop. We have a crew of 4-5 people that assist with fun day/work days, Pit stops, cooking, and mechanicing. We currently have a former Pirelli World Challenge Ford Focus that we converted to the "crapcan" Racing. Looking for 2-3 drivers that want to commit long term. If interested please provide me with you racing resume and what skill set you can provide to the team. We do not require that you have any mechanical skill or live in the area, but it is a plus. Once we find the drivers then we will put together schedule as a team. Please feel free to inquire.
My email is: Lakeeffectrac1ng@outlook.com
Sadly, can't commit to anything long-term at the moment, but that's a killer car!
I was there with you at Pitt! I didn't realize that your focus, or I would have stopped by and bothered you :) We were in (one of the many) a red NA miata with two yellow racing stripes.
Nice! I've always wanted to go racing, but after driving my friends WRL Miata for a weekend WRL school, man was it claustrophobic!
I suspect the Focus isn't nearly as confined.
What size driver is the car built to?
What tracks are scheduled for next year?
In reply to WonkoTheSane : I think I saw you on track did you have a GRM stick on your car?
In reply to z31maniac : Yes, with the foot pedals and steering moved back much bigger cockpit.
In reply to NordicSaab : I am 6'2" 235lbs, but someone bigger and taller could fit easily, nice amount room in the cockpit. We have a Sparco slider and Oreco seat.
In reply to Ovid_and_Flem : We will decide as a group, but Indy is looking like a requirement.
I'm assuming since you said Crapcan you're talking about LeMons?
I think he means Lemons, WRL, Champcar.
They just competed in a Champcar race last weekend.
The Focus will be to get some track time and focus towards the Champcar indy race. After that race Lemons, WRL, Champcar, and AER are all in play. We will talk about which the next races are as a team.
