Has anyone ever rented a 3/4 or 1 ton truck from Enterprise?

Looks like Big Red maybe down for the count for about a week or so and I need to keep working.

They don't put the prices up on the website and I'm curious what they cost to rent for a week.

I haven't done a 3/4 ton, but do have a 1/2 ton reserved for 9 days in Tampa area  around thanksgiving.

Through Alamo the 1/2 ton is approx $350 for the 9 days.

This link hereshows me that 7 days (mon-mon) is $399.99 with 750 miles included and 19 cents per additional mile for a 3/4 ton 4 door pickup like F250.  This was out of my closest location of Enterprise Commercial which is Cleveland OH

The same Enterprise rental out of Detroit was $374.99 (cheaper by $25) with 750 miles included (same) but then 25 cents per mile (a lot more expensive if youre loading miles)

Back in the day, I used to rent them to tow things from time to time. It was a cheap way to move a trailer from one state to the next. But they killed that option by removing all tow hitches from pickups and banning all towing. You had to use a big box truck at 5 times the cost.

For clarification, Enterprise at the airport and near the mall will rent you a pickup truck but they do not allow you to tow with it.

Enterprise Truck (previous Enterprise Commercial) rents trucks, including pickups, often directed to the constuction industries that allow towing.

I rented a 1/2 ton once; when I showed up at their store to pick it up they tried to give me a minivan instead.  It ended up they had to give me a ride to another store on the other side of town that actually had a truck available.

One tip:  it will generally be less expensive to rent vehicles at stores that aren't at the airport, where you usually have to pay additional fees.

You might try Herc also which is the commercial side of Hertz.  A quick search sowed me $715 per week for 2500 diesel but no details of per mile.

I rent from Enterprise about 10 times a year for our autocross club.   We get a really good deal since we rent regularly and going in person to discuss discounts can land you a better deal than doing it online.

We spec a 3/4 ton of any sort (towing 9,000 lb trailer) but about 1/2 the time they are "generous" and give me a one ton diesel dually for the same price.    All crew cabs and our deal is $120 a day on the weekend.  A friend of mine got a 3/4 ton a couple weeks ago for a week towing a camper, I think he paid $500 for the week.  Negotiations are key.

BTW, the new diesel duallys are ridiculous.  Tow rating of 32,000 lbs and have DOT numbers on the doors.   But quiet and comfortable sailing down the highway.

There is a local company here that only rents pickups and box vans. Surprisingly reasonable and all set up for towing. So maybe if you Google a little harder you can come up with one that is not related to the big car rental companies. Which by the way are all owned by the big three anyway.

Work rented one for me a couple of months ago when i had to go on site at a plant with mud pits for roads.  It wasn't the cheapest thing ever but I ended up with a Dodge Ram Rebel.  Holy cow that's a nice truck.  I'm not normally a dodge fan, but that hemi power coupled with the stiffer off-road suspension makes my current fleet F150 feel like a cruise ship in comparison

Uhaul rents pickups much cheaper than the car rental places. Around here its $19.95/day plus fees. I don't know if they have anything bigger than a 1/2 ton though. Also my local Home Depot rents trucks. I know they have a flatbed. No idea the cost or size of truck.

If you setup a national emerald club account (free on their website)and just rent an intermediate car you can take whatever they have on the lot for the same fee.  This is typically only at thei airport.  I used it to snag a bug dodge crew cab this week in houston for 62 for two days.
