so that's not a repaint on the red one you had when you were in MI?

That's me! I hope your trip goes well! Your cars fit right in around here, just be careful with the H-D comments around here...GM bashing is only slightly more popular than H-D bashing here, so guys like us who like both get it doubly bad.

Go Dave Go! you beat my single-day distance by almost 25%!
My best single-day record driving solo in a Fiero (my '88 GT) is about 1350 miles in 19 hours. Minneapolis, MN to Coeur D'Alene, ID. Picked up one speeding ticket and the tired 2.8 was burning about a quart of oil every 500 miles. I doubt I'll ever top that distance record driving solo, it wasn't nearly as enjoyable as taking it easy or driving with a partner. On that road trip I did about 6000 miles in 3 weeks with a (planned) 3.4 engine swap in the middle of it...makes me tired thinking again just thinking about it.
The Fiero is kind of a pain for road trips because it only has about 11 gallons of fuel, but that was about all my bladder would take most of the time anyway. No way I could ride a bike as long as Dave, I burn out a lot quicker on two wheels.

Well, next time wait for one of the days when you're NOT 6'4 then!!!
Your trip is made all the more impressive by the fact that you did it on exactly $0.00 worth of fuel.
Glad you had a safe trip, and I love the 'Vair!!!
