Yes. My company subsidizes private vehicles. In part BECAUSE running their own fleet was too expensive (including the commercial insurance).
You are suggesting there are big savings for companies by switching to EVs. I am telling you that is not always the case (and is definitely not the case for the company I work for). Fuel and maintenance are not their only expenses.

Regarding towing with an EV, Ford has patented a range extender for their electric F150 that will drop in the bed where in the box toolboxes usually go, I assume GM is working on something similar for the upcoming Silverado/Sierra EV. I'm curious if the electric only companies (Tesla, Rivian etc) will offer something similar, or will they not worry about the small percentage of pickup owners who tow often enough to worry about reduced range.
That thing is going to absolutely destroy parking lot puddles and slightly muddy patches! I would like to see them build the center console just a wee bit chunkier, I'm sure that they can do it.
So to answer the question in a word, no.
