thanks to the toobs of you I don't think I'll be going to bed soon. Thank goodness I have beer. 
This one really hurts. I am a huge fan of the buzzcocks. Pete's songwriting style was fantastic. He also made a career playing incredibly cheap guitars. Last time I saw them play a few years ago he was playing a 99 dollar Epiphone.
I will try to find some of the interviews he did in 76-77. He was a smart well spoken young man and it was completely the opposite of what the media was trying to define punk as.
