Because I just had that problem. Seems that if you take enough prescription painkillers for previous injuries and migraine headaches so that you might get a few hours of rest, strange things happen. Namely, I spent 15 minutes trying to take a leak, and completely forgot how. Most frustrating thing ever.
And now, back to posts that are better than this one.
I just watched still waiting, the sequal to waiting.

LOL
What happened? Did you give up, only to pee yourself later? Did you overcome your problems and get it? Did you enlist assistance?

I think the key here is "Pain Killers"... guess they were good ones!
Narcotics ("Pain Killers") can interfere with micturation (starting to pee). If you don't pee, you die.

Good to know. I'll have to make a mental note of that.
Urinal shyness. Happens to the best of us.
I resemble that remark. Even without the painkillers.
Now it's time to drop another quarter in the GRM jukebox..

I managed to go a while later.... but let me tell you, that was horribly frustrating.

Just so you didn't whip out your tie and pee your pants.
Whats the difference between forgetfulness and alzheimers?
Forgetfulness is forgetting to zip up after you pee.
Alzheimers is forgetting to un zip before you pee.
So, it hurt to pee so you were on painkillers?

Wow, that would be a great line for an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie!!
Or maybe a movie of the week title.

I never forgot how, but for a while i didn't have to. The hospital actually had people come around and remind us to go.
Dang it, now I have to pee...

I looked that up on dictionary.com to see if that is actually a word. It is. Wierd.
Hell, back when I got migraines in HS I would end up walking into the walls/lockers and legitimately couldnt come up with what my name was. Then I would start projectile vomiting.
THAT was some scary stuff. (all of that was BEFORE painkillers, I would basically get sedated and sleep for a day or so, took a week to recover from one)
Havent had one in 4-5 years and I am starting to feel like I dont have to give friends who I spend lots of time with a warning about it.

Hehehe, I've never quite gotten THAT far, but they get bad.
Apex, sounds a lot like my late friend's migraines. His were so bad he'd go blind and then came the projectile vomiting. When he was in that state, very little seemed to work except morphine. So off to the hospital he'd go.
Eventually he weened himself off of caffeine and MSG and that seemed to help for about a year or so, then he had a large migraine and that led to a seizure and his fatal heart attack at 34.
I miss that guy
I'll bet that story makes Apexcarver feel REAL good
How do you think my friend's family feels? His boys and wife were all there to watch him die on the floor of their living room.
I guess the point is, let your friends know and don't take life for granted.
Wow, way to suck the fun out of a light-hearted thread.

Sorry! couldn't help it, above comment made me think of the scene from waiting.... I guess everyone cheering might help but I doubt it.
