I have a Seagate hard drive (9zq2na-500) which had a neat base which was also the power supply. It's a "freeagent goflex desk" (and their marketing dept needs to be fired for that name). It stopped working, and I diagnosed it as the power supply. That's when I found that the entire power supply lives in this base, so I decided to replace it. I bought this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014OSN2VW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but it's strange. it's like the connector isn;t long enough to reach inside the enclosure and connect to the actual drive.

How do I fix this thing?

You may have to open the enclosure to see if you can move/trim things to get he adapter to fit..

^Yep you will need to trim the enclosure. Or just toss it, it's not really doing anything.

You'll need to log in to post.
